SHANGHAI STADIUM 7s International Football Association

SS7’s Football League is an international men's Football Association running 3 tournaments annually. Formed more than 10 years ago, the league currently consists of 13 teams with players from all over the world from countries like England, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Israel, Turkey, USA, Mexico and many others as a par.

The league kicked off in 2007 after Christopher Roberts brought together several groups of expats keen to play in an organized league. Roberts organized the league for a few years before passing it off to Phoenix teammate Kyle Hayes in 2011. Since then Hayes has managed the the SS7 league through 19 successful tournaments with many teams being long-time participants.

 

COMPETITION:

The current season started November 7th, 2016 and will finish with Championships on March 20, 2017. Please note, holiday breaks mean no games on Xmas (Dec. 19th - Jan 7th) and CNY (Jan. 28th - Feb. 6th.)
 
There are 13 weeks of round-robin competition with an additional 2 weeks of single-elimination playoffs and Championships. End of season Standings determine where each team sits for either the Cup Plate, or Spoon titles, with each title hosting 4 teams.

Playoff Order

CUP: 1v4, 2v3

PLATE: 5v8, 6v7

SPOON: 9v12, 10v11

LIABILITY:

All organizers, players, and participants in the Shanghai Stadium 7’s Monday night League at the Adidas 7-a-side pitches play and participate at their own risk. Although safety is promoted throughout the league, should an unfortunate accident occur (injury or death) during league play to any one or more persons, all participants agree that the SS7’s League and Shanghai Stadium management cannot be held responsible.
